Charles was an amazing part of our home-buying process, and my husband and I sincerely couldn’t have survived it without his expertise, patience, and good humor. We reached out to him on a whim, based on a property we were interested in, and (having little to no experience with realtors ourselves) we assumed he’d be pushy, cornering us into putting an offer on the first place we saw together – on the contrary, he had a long talk with us, asked us in detail about our priorities on a condo (square footage vs. prime city location; amenities vs. lower HOA fees; upgraded vs. fixer-upper; open floor plan vs. closed; etc.). He told us that we should feel good about our decision, and that we shouldn’t rush into anything. My husband and I were SO relieved; after all, the buying process is already stressful and overwhelming enough, but having someone like Charles who was able to answer each of our zillion (sometimes ridiculous) questions via phone, email, or in person, at all times of the day or night, was extremely valuable. My husband and I learned to approach him with our fears because we knew he would ease them, and we would walk away feeling more self-assured about our decisions, our part in the buying process, what have you. His pep talks really helped us survive buying our first house, which was – to us – an excruciating ordeal at times. I constantly combed Zillow and Redfin, looking for new properties, and when I’d email him about a potential property, he’d email me back within five minutes with full details on it/invite us to tour it with him that afternoon. It also helped that he knows so much about the area, as my husband and I are relatively new to Seattle and relied on him for many perspectives that only a local/seasoned Seattleite would have. When we finally did close on our condo, he gave us the keys and walked away. When we walked into our new home, we saw a gorgeous gift basket on our new kitchen counter top, a gift from him! He puts your needs as a client above all else and is willing to do anything and everything to make you happy. We are still in contact, as I ask his advice on plumbing/electrical/regular home issues. I honestly can’t say enough about how helpful he is! If you are looking to buy/sell/whatever, he is your contact, hands down.
